Dr Ehsan Syed interviewed by Smart Talk on Mental Health in Children and Adolescents

It’s estimated that one in five children between the ages of 6 and 17 have some type of mental disorder. Anxiety disorder is the most prevalent but behavioral disruption disorders like ADHD are also widespread. It’s also estimated that 79% of those kids do not receive any mental health care. Dr. Ehsan Syed, who specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry with the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute, is on the program.
